Engagement Builders B.V. (“Engagement Builders”) is a training and consultancy agency specialising in advising on and implementing learning and team development programmes for organisations.
To carry out our activities effectively, it is necessary for us to process your personal data. We always do so carefully and in accordance with privacy legislation and this privacy statement.
In this privacy statement, we explain how we handle your personal data and how we protect your privacy.

This privacy statement does not apply to participants in our training or coaching programmes. Engagement Builders has a separate privacy statement for participants.
This statement applies solely to the processing of personal data of suppliers, clients, coaches, and trainers.

This privacy statement concerns the processing of personal data of clients, suppliers, and self-employed coaches and trainers engaged by Engagement Builders, in its capacity as data controller.

Which personal data do we process?

Engagement Builders offers various services: Academy Building, team development, and consultancy.
We use your personal data to carry out and improve these activities. In most cases, the personal data we use is provided by you.

For coaches and trainers engaged by us, we use contact details to enable them to perform their work and bank details to arrange payment for their services.

For client organisations, we use contact details to execute our activities and to evaluate the outcomes afterwards, allowing us to continuously improve our services.

You may also contact us through the website’s contact form to ask questions about Academy Building, team development, or consultancy.
To respond to your questions, you must provide your name, email address, and if you prefer a call—your phone number. You may also include a message in the contact form.
Any additional personal data entered in this form will not be used by Engagement Builders for any other purpose.
We use your personal data because it is necessary to serve you as effectively as possible. We retain your personal data until your question has been handled, unless we are required by law or for other legitimate business purposes to retain it longer.

On what legal basis do we process your personal data?

We process your personal data because it is necessary for the performance of a contract with you (or the company you represent) or to take steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (for example, preparing a quotation or cost estimate).

We may also process your data based on a legitimate interest, provided that this does not disproportionately affect your privacy.

Does Engagement Builders share your personal data with third parties?

We share your personal data only with contractors engaged by us, such as coaches and trainers who deliver training or coaching for our business operations.
We may also share your data with clients and/or participants to schedule appointments or enable direct communication between participants, trainers and coaches.

All third parties with whom we share your personal data are bound by confidentiality agreements to ensure that your data is processed carefully and in accordance with privacy laws.
In some cases, we may be legally required to share data with third parties, but we will always seek to protect your privacy as much as possible.
Your personal data will not be shared with third parties for commercial purposes and will not be used for automated decision-making, including profiling.

Your rights regarding your personal data

You have the right to know which personal data we hold about you.
You may request an overview of your personal data from Engagement Builders.
If you believe that your data is incorrect, incomplete, or unnecessary, you may request its correction, supplementation, or deletion.

You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data if you believe that it is not necessary for our activities.
Additionally, you have the right to data portability and to withdraw your consent at any time.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
